Teach You to Use VRLA battery


The VRLA battery is generally used for stationary applications. Their capacities range from 30Ah to several thousand Ah and are found in larger UPS systems for power backup. Typical uses are mobile phone repeaters, cable distribution centers, Internet hubs and utilities, as well as power backup for banks, hospitals, airports and military installations.
Unlike the flooded lead acid battery, both the SLA and VRLA are designed with a low over voltage potential to prohibit the battery from reaching its gas-generating potential during charge. Excess charging would cause gassing and water depletion. Consequently, the SLA and VRLA can never be charged to their full potential.
Among modern rechargeable batteries, the lead acid battery family has the lowest energy density. For the purpose of analysis, we use the term ‘sealed lead acid’ to describe the lead acid batteries for portable use and ‘valve regulated lead acid’ for stationary applications. VRLA batteries only need to strictly control the charging voltage of rectifier. According to the different request of charging use and cycle use, it adopts regulation voltage to charge, and it doesn’t need any care when charging, and has no need to add distilled water, no need to inspect the voltage, proportion and temperature. But it needs to inspect the voltage and discharging capacity of batteries at regular intervals.
2.    Simple to install
VRLA batteries have been recharged when they are produced so users don’t need to charge it when installing and using it at the first time. If it is stored for over six months, it can be charged in accordance with the produced rule. When you fully charge it, you do a capacity trial discharging test to judge whether the battery capacity meets its request standard and the quality is reliable.
3.    Security and Reliability
VRLA batteries adopt sealing construction, with no acid mist, no pollution gas overflowing, which can be placed in upright or on side position. Due to the constant-voltage charging, the battery interior realizes the oxygen cycle process which has less water runaway. Although it is overcharged sometimes, the small quantity of gas can be exhausted through the security plugs so that the battery container with high pressure is not exploded.
4.    Investment Saving
VRLA batteries don’t pollute the equipment and environment, which can be used along with electrical devices, so you don’t need a special room to place and maintain it, meaning less maintenance. Besides, you can use the folded battery rack to install it, which occupies a little space to save the investment cost of power source system.
